Don’t Miss Takelma Bilingual Storytime

TAKELMA BILINGUAL STORYTIME

FRIDAY, AUGUST 9 FROM 2–3 PM AT THE GRANTS PASS BRANCH OF THE JOSEPHINE COUNTY LIBRARY

Children and their families are invited to Takelma Language Bilingual Storytime led by a Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians Takelma Teacher-Learner. This story time will feature the Takelma Language Primer children’s book series followed by a craft.

The Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians’ Education Department provides lifelong educational resources and opportunities for Tribal members and other Native Americans. Programs include funding for educational activities, higher education, and occupational certifications, as well as adult education and lifelong learning, with a focus on uniting the community and strengthening cultural identity through the Takelma language program.

This program is offered at no charge and open to the public. A library card is not needed to participate.
