Cow Creek Umpqua Tribe Hosts CDC Tribal Advisory Committee Conference
The Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians (CCBUTI) had the honor of hosting the Centers For Disease Control (CDC)’s Tribal Advisory Committee (TAC) at Seven Feathers Casino Resort Convention Center in early August.
The TAC serves to inform the CDC about public health issues and needs that Tribes are facing, and allows for collaboration and discussion about approaches that can address those problems at both a local and national level.
The event featured speakers and representatives from the CDC and Tribes from across the nation, presentations by CCBUTI staff, and a tour of CCBUTI lands,
offices, and clinics.
