Cow Creek Tribal Police Swear-In Newest Officer
Cow Creek Tribal Police swore-in their newest police office on Thursday in the Cow Creek Tribal Board Room.
Officer David Awbrey was sworn in by Cow Creek Tribal Police Chief Brett Johnson.
“He is quite an accomplished police officer,” said Chief Johnson, speaking about Officer Awbrey’s career.
Awbrey previously served in the Medford Police Department. He began his career as a deputy in the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office. Awbrey bring 26 years of law enforcement experience to his new position.
“It’s a big moment when someone is sworn in as a police officer,” said Chief Johnson at the ceremony, attended by Awbrey’s family as well as several Cow Creek Tribal Board members.
